Philosophy & mythos:
The archetype of existence

The archetype of existence describes the overarching creation myths surrounding Ehris. They are not things that the inhabitants of Ehris know about or think about consciously. But they do provide insights into the true nature of the world and are found embedded in almost everything and everyone in some small way.

Singularity and structure
In a time before time, where there existed only darkness -- a darkness that was thick and rich and full of nothing but the hints of what was to come -- there came into being a sentience. This sentience was created out of the singularity that was the beginning. It was the spawn of the Wyrm, the Child of Ain, the Creator. It was known as Jhal'vren, The Father and its purpose was self-evident. Out of the void that encompassed all of what was known it would craft the architecture that would act as the foundation upon which all other things would be built. Beyond the scope of one world, or one reality, or one universe it was responsible for the creation of existence itself. It was charged with forging the paradox that was its being and expanding upon it into infinity. Jahl'vren was THE creation myth for nothing, nothing, existed prior to it and from it all else existed. It was the singularity made real, the paradox come to life, the circle unbound. It was Jhal'vren, The Father.

The first act of Jhal'vren was the creation of The Path. The calling of power from the primordial paradox of its creation to create a matrix of energies that would comprise the very fabric of all realities. It was the foundation upon which all else would be built.

It is believed that it was the creation of The Path that spawned the Daim Jt'an and that it was this event that led to the second act by Jhal'vren.

The second act of Jhal'vren was the creation of the Cil'vren. The Cil'vren were created to guard and watch over and maintain The Path whenever necessary. It is believed that it was this act that spawned The Dominion.

The third and final act of Jhal'vren was the creation of structure, the Hierarchy of Existence that would provide order and stability for all future events.

* The two most important, and most powerful, positions in the hierarchy.

An'ath: The Wyrm
An'ath represents a state of pre-existence and of undifferentiation prior to existence. Not anything, not nothing, no thing. That which is without attribute. It is out of the paradox of An'ath that the Child of Ain was spawned, that Jhal'vren was formed.

Jhal'vren: The Father
Jhal'vren is a concept, a singularity that was spawned out of the paradox of An'ath. Jhal'vren is a focal point, an aspect of being. It represents the beginning before which there was nothing. Jhal'vren would create the Hierarchy of Existence and craft the architecture that would act as the foundation upon which all other things would be built. This architecture is known as The Path. Lastly, Jhal'vren would create the Hierarchy of Existence to provide structure for his creations.

Dai'J'en: The Dominion
Little is known about the Dominion, except that it exists between that which is Jhal'vren and that which is Cil'vren. It is conjectured that perhaps The Dominion is a sentience or manifestation of An'ath that is not yet understood. It seems to inhibit, at times, the will of Jhal'vren and Cil'vren and yet at times it seems to strengthen it.

The Dominion is often called The Door to Oblivion because some believe that within The Dominion, somewhere in its limitless non-existence, is the antithesis of Jhal'vren. It is because of this belief that a select few, mere handfuls over the vast and infinite span of time, of the Cil'vren have been chosen to deviate from their protectorship of The Path and have been set to study The Dominion. This small group, known as the A'mil Jha are allowed to remain behind, nearer Jhal'vren, and watch. Studying, listening, waiting for the true nature of The Dominon to make itself known.

Over the epochs that stretch, a few concepts, ideas, thoughts, have escaped the unending darkness ofThe Dominon to make themselves known to the A'mil Jha. These concepts become known as the Laws of the Dominion; insights into what The Dominion is and how it may or may not affect Jhal'vren, Cil'vren, or The Path.

In addition, as are their brethren, the A'mil Jha are granted the use of the Cata'ii, but are also allowed the freedom to create entirely new pieces of The Path based on their observations of The Dominion. This enhanced ability is referred to as Cata'ii'Anrih. The A'mil Jha are unto themselves within Achamoth, but they do not share it with the rest of Cil'vren.

Daim Jt'an: The Ether. The Unlife
The Daim Jt'an is the antithesis to the Cavra'Jt'Dai. It is the unlife, the complete lack of Essence. Daim Jt'an is that which destroys completely and without conscience. The Daim Jt'an is contained, safely, within the inner most wall of The Path. Here it remains, unable to harm that which is within and unable to reach that which is without -- that which follows The Path.

Cil'vren: The Guardians of the Path
Cil'vren is a duality. They are a concept given form. They are the manifestation of Jhal'vren. They protect and guard The Path and its many intricacies and while they are not themselves capable of creating new pieces of The Path they can manipulate it and render it inert through the use of the Cata'ii.

While Cil'vren are manifestations of Jhal'vren they are not one in the same. In addition, Cil'vren were granted Achamoth -- or hive mind. They share the same mind and are always connected to themselves and Jhal'vren.
