Background:
The guardian of Ildurath is a being known, only to a few,
as Dhae’lhan. He is the roving spirit of the land, tied to
Ildurath like no other and sworn to protect it at all costs. Little
is known about Dhae’lhan himself. He was found by Ambriel during
the fledgling days of the academy and brought to Ildurath to serve.
He was a willing recipient of the Guardian of Ildurath title, and
has openly sworn to serve until Ildurath is no more and the academy
is gone from the world.
In those rare instances when he can be found and approached, if asked
about his origins or from where he hailed prior to coming to Ildurath,
he will relate a small tale about an ancient city that once existed
far to the north. He will talk about how it was filled with creatures
of wonder, and a sense of peace that leaves one longing to believe
that what he speaks of is more than a myth.
